Sailor Moon Bucket List
1. Shop at the Sailor Moon Store.
I've been there twice now and each time the store was set up different with different displays. Plus there's always new merchandise to check out.
2. Go to the Sailor Moon Shining Theater Shinagawa Tokyo.
This theater just opened April 4 of this year. The show's first season runs from April to July of 2026. The second season will run from August to September of 2026.
3. Stroll through Hikawa Shrine.
Rei's Hikawa Shrine in the anime is based off two real life locations. If you have a chance, visit them both.
4. Visit Tokyo Tower and Shiba Park.
Unfortunately, it was raining the day I went to Tokyo Tower so I wasn't really able to fully appreciate the views or enjoy the park. But that's one thing about Japan, there's always something that calls me back to visit again.
5. Locate all 6 Sailor Moon manhole covers.
Just after I got back from Japan in February, they announced a 6th manhole cover for Sailor Moon. As such, I only found 5 of the manhole covers. Yet another reason to go back to Japan.
6. Spot the real life locations from the manga and anime.
In addition to Tokyo Tower and Hikawa Shrine, there are many other real life locations from the manga and anime to visit. It was raining the day I went, so I didn't get to as many as I would've liked.
I stopped at an art store featured in the anime. No photos, but I bought some art supplies for two of my kids from there.
And as we were getting ready to head to our next location, I spotted this Sailor Moon poster hanging in the back of a bookstore from across the street. So naturally, u had to check it out.
